LM2500

The LM2500 is a gas turbine engine used in more than 400 ships in 30 navies across the world. It was developed by General Electric Aviation in the 1960’s. The engine’s turbine can reach 3,600 rpm. It was initially used to power Spruance and Kidd class destroyers, but it’s also utilized in cruisers, frigates, patrol boats, aircraft carriers, and high speed ferries.
